What is tested, what the documentation covers, and where to find it.
Every batch is independently tested
Every product Strand lists is tested before sale by an independent laboratory, commissioned and paid for by Strand. Testing is batch-matched: a vial from the specific lot-numbered batch Strand holds is sent for analysis, and the resulting certificate of analysis names that lot. The vial you receive carries the same lot number on the box.
What the panel covers
Every product is tested for:
- Purity by RP-HPLC — ≥99% on every lot released for sale
- Identity by mass spectrometry
- Net content per vial
- Endotoxin
- Water content
Testing is repeated periodically on held stock, not only once at intake.
What a manufacturer specification means
Every peptide is also supplied against a manufacturer specification of ≥99% purity by RP-HPLC, with the manufacturer's own certificate of analysis. A specification describes the standard the material is produced and released to. Strand's independent testing checks that the batch actually received meets it.
Why batch-matched COAs are rare
A certificate of analysis reports the measured result for a specific lot. In the research peptide market these are rare for a structural reason worth stating plainly: a manufacturer typically produces around 200 sets of a given spec and sells out within three to five days, while independent analysis by a laboratory such as Janoshik takes ten to fifteen days. The batch is gone before its report exists. This is a structural feature of how the market works, not a shortcut taken by any particular supplier. Strand holds stock for weeks rather than days, which is what makes batch-matched testing possible.
Where the documentation is
Certificates of analysis are published per product, vial size and batch on the certificates page. Where a certificate is not yet listed, ask for the COA for a specific product before you order and Strand will provide the independent laboratory report for that lot, together with the manufacturer's certificate.
