What a manufacturer specification means

Every peptide Strand lists is supplied against a manufacturer specification of ≥99% purity by RP-HPLC. A specification is the standard the material is produced and released to. It is a statement about the production run, not a measurement of an individual vial.

What a batch COA is, and why almost nobody has one

A certificate of analysis reports the actual measured result for a specific lot. In the research peptide market these are rare for a structural reason worth stating plainly: a manufacturer typically produces around 200 sets of a given spec and sells out within three to five days, while independent analysis by a laboratory such as Janoshik takes ten to fifteen days. The batch is gone before its report exists. This is a structural feature of how the market works, not a shortcut taken by any particular supplier.

What Strand holds today

Strand's manufacturer has supplied nine independent HPLC reports covering material of the specifications Strand lists, with purities in the 99.0–99.96% range. Two of those were blind tests. These reports describe the manufacturer's production of those specifications — they are not matched to a batch Strand has received, because Strand has not yet received stock. Analytical documentation can be requested before ordering.

Every product ships with the batch/lot number shown on the box.

What changes when stock lands

Because Strand will hold stock for weeks rather than days, Strand will be able to do what the manufacturer cannot: receive a lot-numbered batch, send a vial from it to an Australian laboratory, and publish the report naming that batch. Strand commits to doing this.

Until a batch-matched report is published, the site will continue to describe purity as a manufacturer specification and nothing more.
