This page explains how Strand Peptide Research uses data to measure our advertising and improve the site. We have kept it short and in plain English.

Advertising and analytics tracking

We use the Meta (Facebook) pixel and Google Analytics on this site to understand how our advertising performs and how visitors move through the site.

These services are provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. and Google LLC. They place small pieces of code on our pages that send information back to those platforms when you visit or take actions on the site.

What we collect

Pages you view and the order you view them in.
Products you view, add to cart, and purchase.
The value of your order and the products in it.
Technical data your browser sends automatically, such as your IP address, device type, browser type, and operating system.

Email hashing for ad measurement

If you enter an email address at checkout, it is converted into an irreversible scrambled code (a one-way hash) before being sent to Meta. The actual email address is not sent in readable form.

Hashing means we do not transmit your address in readable form. However, because Meta already holds hashed versions of the email addresses used by its own account holders, the hashed value may still allow Meta to recognise whether you have a Meta account.

What we do not collect or send

We do not send Meta or Google any of the following:

Your name, phone number, or postal address.
Your date of birth.
Payment or banking details.
The contents of any order beyond the product name and price.

How to opt out

You can block the Meta pixel and Google Analytics by using a browser ad-blocker, a tracking-prevention extension, or the privacy settings built into your browser.

You can also control the ads Meta shows you through Meta's own ad preferences. We do not operate that system, so you will need to adjust those settings directly with Meta.
